Characteristics

Leaves coriaceous, glabrous or with scattered indumentum when young; petiole 11–13 mm long; lamina lanceolate-ovate to elliptic, to 12.5 cm long, to 4.5 cm wide, rounded at base, acuminate; secondary veins 13–16 each side of midrib, not prominently raised below; colleters 4 or 5. Inflorescence of many fascicles. Flowers c. 3 mm long, 13–14 mm diam.; pedicels 12–14 mm long. Sepals lanceolate, c. 1.4 mm long. Corolla rotate, probably yellow; lobes reflexed, lanceolate, c. 7 mm long, c. 1.5 mm wide. Staminal corona c. 2 mm long, 2 mm diam.; lobes erect, subulate, c. 2 mm long, c. 0.4 mm wide. Staminal column c. 1.3 mm long. Follicles and seeds not seen.
