Stems well branched to 1 m. long; twigs subangular, soon densely lenticellate.. Petiole 1–3 mm. long; lamina slightly yellow-green, thinly coriaceous, elliptic to oblong-elliptic or ovate, 4–10.5 cm. long, 1.5–6 cm. wide, bluntly pointed at the apex, basally attenuate, with 1–3 pairs of strongly ascending nerves from above the base.. Flowers 2–6 in several shortly pedunculate umbels in the axils and at old nodes; peduncle 1–3 mm. long; pedicels 1–2 mm. long; bract shortly cupular, with a spurred ovate-triangular limb, 1–1.5 mm. long.. Receptacle 1.5–2 mm. long.. Calyx 0.5–1 mm. long, lobed.. Corolla bent in bud, 1.5–2 cm. long, red at the base, then greenish yellow or white shading to pink or red above; tube flask-shaped, 3–4 mm. long; lobes linear, broadening to linear-lanceolate at tips, reflexing below middle at anthesis and sometimes slightly coherent above..
