Leaves sessile, thick-textured, oblong-linear to elliptic-ovate, 15-60 x 3-17 mm, apex obtuse to rounded, base obtuse to narrowed, margins entire or shallowly crenate; upper surface fairly densely stellate-pubescent, lower surface denser to floccose. Inflorescence of few to several verticils; verticillasters 2-4-flowered. Flowers pink to mauve or purple. Calyx densely and finely stellate-tomentose to floccose. Corolla: tube 6 mm long; upper lip 3-4 mm long; lower lip 6-8 mm long. Flowering time Nov.-Mar.
