Characteristics

The features which distinguish this species from S. woodii are the much broader side lobes of the lip which are truncate or rounded but not pointed, the petite, cylindrical spur which is much longer than in S. woodii and is often curved down at its apex, and what appears to be its mostly southern coastal distribution.
