Characteristics

Annual herb to 30 cm, wiry, straggling, glabrous or sparsely papillose. Basal leaves pinnatifid with 2–3 pairs of lobes, to 5 cm long; cauline leaves few, scattered, simple or trifid, to 4 cm long. Sepals c. 2 mm long, laterals strongly saccate. Petals 3–6 mm long, olive-green to purple; claw narrow, expanding to round lamina which is produced into a slender apex. Stigma depressed capitate. Silicula globose or broadly obovate, 3–5.5 mm long, slightly emarginate; pedicels horizontal to recurved, stout, rigid, 3–7, rarely 11, mm long. Seeds 1.5–2 mm long, oblong to ellipsoidal, flattened, 4–10 per locule.
