Characteristics

Annual, woody herb to 65 cm, erect, with sessile or almost sessile irregularly branched hairs. Basal leaves lanceolate, to 7 cm long, entire or remotely dentate, non-persistent; cauline leaves lanceolate to linear, 1–7 cm long. Sepals 3.5–5.5 mm long, the laterals saccate, medians cucullate with a callose thickening at apex. Petals 6–21 mm long; claw linear; lamina elliptic and produced into elongate apex, yellow-green to brown. Stigma fleshy, depressed-capitate. Silicula subglobose to oblong or obovoid, 4.5–8 mm long; pedicels erect or slightly spreading, 2–10 mm long. Seeds oblong or elliptic, 1–1.5 mm long, flattened, 10–20 per locule.
