Caespitosum; ramuli floriferi 4-6-foliati; folia fere erecta, duo paris inaequalia, alterum 1.3 cm. longum sine vagina 5 mm., ad 1.1 cm. latum, ad 8 mm. diam., alterum 1 cm. longum, 1 cm. latum, 4-6 mm. diam., marginibus 3-denticulatis, dentibus interdum 1 mm. longis, glauca, roseo suffusa, tuberculis crebris prominentibus, minute margaritaceis; receptaculum 8 mm. longum cum tubo 3 mm., 6 mm. diam.; sepala 5, subaequilonga, ad 7 mm. longa, basi 2-3 mm. lata; petala 5-6-seriata, laete lutea, saepius acuta, ad 9 mm. longa, vix 0.5 mm. lata; filamenta ad 6 mm. longa, luteis, antheris aureis; ovarium in conum acutum per 1.5 mm. elevatum; stigmata 5, clavata, altitudinem receptaculi vix excedentia.

Perennial, caespitose, dwarf shrublet, up to 0.03 m high, roots thickened. Leaves glaucous, trigonous, keel without teeth, margins with 3 or 4 teeth, epidermis dotted with dark elevations, apex forming a chin when older. Flowers solitary, yellow. Flowering time Mar.-July. Capsules 5-locular, valve wings with angular apex, closing bodies absent, covering membranes a ledge.
