Characteristics

Compact, dwarf succulent, developing short, thickish stems with age. Leaves spreading widely, with only upper leaf surface visible, 15-20 x 8-22 mm, 4.5-7 mm thick, margins toothed, epidermis only a little rough. Flowers on short stalks, 25-30 mm diam., petals yellow. Fruit base semi-globose, placenta raised by a false septum, 5-locular.
