Petiole 1–2 cm. long, canaliculate; leaf-blade coriaceous, dull green, elliptic, ovate-elliptic to oblong-lanceolate, 5–25 cm. long, 2.5–9 cm. wide, shortly acuminate, ± rounded at the base; midrib and secondary veins prominent beneath; tertiary veins typically parallel and prominent beneath.. Inflorescence axillary, borne on a short shoot 5–10 mm. long; pedicels 2–3 mm. long in flower, elongating up to 1 cm. in fruit.. Flowers white to cream, 4-merous.. Calyx green with 4 ± deltoid lobes.. Petals 4, oblong-lanceolate, 4–5 mm. long, 1–1.5 mm. wide.. Stamens 4; filaments adnate to petals for most of their length.. Ovary semi-inferior, embedded in receptacle, 3–4-locular; ovules elongate..
