Characteristics

Very like S. procera, but with larger leaves (up to 19 cm. long and 10 cm. wide) in which the translucent pustules are situated in the centre of each reticulation, longer inflorescence rhachides (up to 8 mm. long), an extrastaminal annular disc in the male flowers, and fewer stamens (11–16) with pubescent filaments. The female flowers and fruit are not known.
