Characteristics

Trees to 11 m tall. Branchlets black. Petiole 3--4 cm; leaf blade narrowly elliptic to narrowly obovate, 12--26 X 4--7 cm, thinly leathery, both surfaces glandular, abaxially not papillate, base broadly cuneate to subrounded, margin entire, apex acuminate, lateral veins 11--14 pairs. Spikes shortened to fascicles. Drupes narrowly ovoid, ca. 1.5 X 0.6 cm. Fl. and fr. Aug.
