Characteristics

Leaf 100–180 × 3–6 mm, pale green, channelled. Flower stem 200–600 × 1.5–2 mm, wiry, 2–10-flowered in loose open raceme. Sterile bracts 2. Flowers 12–20 mm across, often cupped, greenish cream to white, heavily spotted, streaked and blotched with purple. Sepals and petals 6–9 × 2.5–4.5 mm, concave, thin-textured, dorsal sepal broadest, labellum narrowest. Column 4–5 × 2.5 mm, greenish to brownish with numerous rows of brown to purple spots, apex broadly semi-circular; post-anther lobe very short, not hooding anther; column arms just extending above post-anther lobe, lacking hair tufts, with square or shallowly notched, yellowish apex. Anther projecting forwards, large, yellow to orange, situated above stigma.
