Characteristics

Leaf 120–200 × 8–12 mm. Flower stem 200–350 × 3–5 mm, 1–5-flowered. Sterile bracts 2. Flowers 30–45 mm across, bicoloured, sepals green, petals and labellum mauve to blue and spotted. Sepals and petals 15–22 × 5–8 mm, sharply pointed. Column 4–4.5 × 2–2.5 mm, white; post-anther lobe not hooded, dorsal surface with reddish brown apical area and crowded, erect, yellowish, finger-like papillae; accessory lobes columnar, higher than post-anther lobe; column arms obliquely erect, c. 1 mm long; hair-tufts mop-like, white, hairs c. 0.6 mm long.
