Characteristics

Leaf 150–200 × 8–10 mm, dark green, base often reddish. Flower stem 200–500 × 2–3 mm, 1–10-flowered. Sterile bracts 2 or 3. Flowers 15–30 mm across, greyish blue to light blue, sometimes with greenish sepals, with relatively large dark blue spots on dorsal sepal and petals. Sepals and petals 7–18 × 5–7 mm (labellum narrowest). Column 4.5–6 × 2.8–3.3 mm, white or blue; post-anther lobe short, not hooded, orange or yellow, dorsal surface with reddish or purple band and patch of relatively long, crowded, finger-like papillae, apex yellow or orange; accessory arms short, narrow, columnar, higher than post-anther lobe; column arms 1–2 mm long, obliquely erect to horizontal; hair-tufts mop-like, relatively sparse, hairs white or bluish, 1–1.5 mm long.
