Characteristics

Leaf 100–250 × 5–10 mm. Flower stem 100–400 × 2–3 mm, 1–6-flowered. Sterile bracts 2 or 3. Flowers 18–25 mm across, pale blue to dark blue, occasionally pink. Sepals and petals 8–12 × 4.5–5.5 mm (labellum narrowest). Column 5–6 × 2–2.5 mm, white, pink or bluish with yellow apex and dark apical collar; post-anther lobe short, dorsal surface with a few finger-like papillae; auxiliary lobes long, narrow, much higher than post-anther lobe, shallowly toothed; column arms obliquely erect, 1–2 mm long; hair-tufts elongated, mop-like, somewhat sparse, white, with hairs c. 1 mm long.
