Leaf 100–250 × 5–12 mm, thin-textured, pale green to dark green, base purplish. Flower stem 150–450 × 1.5–3 mm, 2–10-flowered. Sterile bract usually 1. Buds pale bluish green. Flowers 10–30 mm across, white to very pale blue. Sepals and petals 10–20 × 3–8 mm. Column 5–6.5 × 2.5–3.2 mm, white or pale blue; post-anther lobe 2.5–3.5 × 1.8–2.2 mm, black or dark brown with yellow apex, gently curved, tubular, inflated, hooded, deeply V-notched; column arms converging, 1–1.7 mm long, curved upwards; hair-tufts toothbrush-like, white, hairs 0.6–1.2 mm long, covering lower part of apex of post-anther lobe.
