Characteristics

Leaf 100–220 × 4–8 mm, fleshy, ribbed, dark green, base reddish. Flower stem 100–250 × 2–3 mm, 1–4-flowered. Sterile bracts 2 or 3. Flowers 16–22 mm across, blue with small spots on dorsal sepal and petals. Sepals and petals 7–11 × 5–6 mm. Column 4–4.5 × 2–2.5 mm, bluish or whitish; post-anther lobe 1.8–2.2 × 1.3–1.6 mm, elongate, tubular, brown with blue collar and yellow apex, dorsal surface smooth, apex shallowly lobed; auxiliary lobes absent; column arms parallel, c. 0.6 mm long; hair-tufts mop-like, dense, white, hairs c. 1 mm long.
