Characteristics

Leaf 60–250 × 2–5 mm, fleshy, ribbed, dark green. Flower stem 100–250 × 2–4 mm, 1–6-flowered. Sterile bracts 2 or 3. Flowers 25–30 mm across, internally blue with few dark blue spots on dorsal sepal and petals, exterior of sepals with thickened greenish band. Sepals and petals 10–15 × 4–6 mm (labellum narrowest). Column 4.5–6 × 2.3–2.6 mm, bluish; post-anther lobe short, not hooded, dark blue and brown with yellow apex, dorsal surface with short, finger-like papillae; auxiliary lobes erect, thin, about as high as post-anther lobe; column arms 1.5–2 mm long; hair-tufts very sparse, a few white hairs 1 mm long (sometimes as few as 5 hairs).
