Characteristics

Leaf with white, silky hairs on both surfaces (mainly on veins), 40–100 × 10–50 mm, margins often wavy. Flower stem 300–600 × 5–8 mm, 5–20-flowered. Sterile bracts usually 2. Flowers 30–40 mm across, yellow, orange-yellow or greenish yellow, lightly to heavily spotted and blotched with purple-brown markings. Sepals and petals 15–20 × 7–10 mm (labellum narrowest). Column 8–10 × 3–5 mm, yellow, reddish or brownish; post-anther lobe erect, semi-hooding anther, fan-shaped or crescent-shaped, curved, fringed or lobed, glandular/papillate on dorsal surface; column arms c. 0.8 mm long, erect, thickened papillate apical area projected forwards or decumbent, covered with yellow or orange, glandular papillae in elongated tuft. Anther in middle of column.
