Productive, Trinitario hybrid. Origin: Derivation of name, Rozario, Izapa Mexico, collected by del Arco and Spencer in Tuxclacihco, Chiapas, Mexico. Parentage unknown; introduced into the National Plant Germplasm System (NPGS) in 1961. Tree: high yielding, ~2,228 kg/ha dry beans. Fruit: seed/pod 37.0; pod index 18.1; 65% chocolate; strong cocoa flavor.
