Productive, upper Amazon hybrid. Origin: Derivation of name, Selección Palmira, Colombia by J.F. Pound. Parentage unknown; introduced into the National Plant Germplasm System (NPGS) in 1988. Tree: high yielding, ~2,839 kg/ha dry beans. Fruit: seed/pod 38.3; pod index 24.6; 65% chocolate; flavor strong cocoa, with citrus and floral perfume.
