Shrub or tree, glabrous.. Branches terete, densely beset with small lenticels.. Leaves 3-foliolate, occasionally intermixed with simple leaves; petiole 1–10.5 cm. long, ventrally channelled; petiolules up to 5 mm. long; leaflets ovate, oblong, obovate or oblong-obovate, 5–14 cm. long, 3–7 cm. wide, asymmetrical, shiny above, coriaceous or chartaceous, with a flat or slightly reflexed margin.. Inflorescence a dense corymb; pedicels up to 1 cm. long, bracteate.. Buds up to 5 mm. in diameter prior to rupture.. Receptacle cylindrical, elongating to about 8 mm. at anthesis.. Stamens crisped and tangled to a distance of 7 mm. from their point of insertion; anthers about 1.3 mm. long.. Fruits unknown.
