Characteristics

Plants upright, with numerous thick cord-like roots. Stems 50–100 mm long, sparsely branched. Leaves 4–8, crowded, 8–140 × 20–25 mm, thick, leathery, pale greyish green to yellow green, apex unequally notched. Racemes 20–45 mm long, club-shaped, with sunken areas, bearing up to 15 flowers at once. Flowers short-lived, 8–10 × 8–10 mm, cream with orange and white labellum. Sepals and petals moderately spreading. Dorsal sepal c. 7 × 2.5 mm. Lateral sepals c. 7 × 2 mm. Petals c. 7 × 1 mm. Labellum c. 6 mm × 4 mm; lateral lobes short, more or less triangular, fleshy, curving outwards; midlobe c. 1 mm long, with short, decurved spur.
