Characteristics

Plants form projecting to pendulous clumps with numerous thick roots. Stems 30–60 mm long, sparsely branched. Leaves 3–8, crowded, 50–80 × 20 mm, thick, leathery, channelled, pale green to yellow green, apex unequally notched. Racemes 10–35 mm long, club-shaped, bearing up to 10 flowers at once. Flowers short-lived, 8–9 × 4–5 mm, cream with purple markings, labellum tip yellow. Sepals and petals moderately spreading. Dorsal sepal c. 5 × 1.5 mm. Lateral sepals c. 4.5 × 1.5 mm. Petals c. 5 × 1.5 mm. Labellum c. 5 × 3.5 mm; lateral lobes short, more or less triangular, fleshy, erect to outcurved; midlobe c. 1 mm long, fleshy, with decurved spur c. 1.5 mm long.
