Characteristics

Perennial herb, 0.3-2.2 m high; acaulescent. Leaves with persistent fibres of old leaf bases; blade linear or triquetrous, 200-400 x 1-5 mm, glabrous or minutely glandular pubescent. Flowers: in a divaricately branched raceme, with ascending branches; pedicels glabrescent, erect to erecto-patent in fruit, up to 15 mm long; perianth white or pink with darker keel; Sep.-Dec. Fruit densely covered with short, gland-tipped tubercles.
