Characteristics

Tree, (1-)2-5 m high. Leaf blades (1,5-)2.0-3.0(-3.2) times as long as wide, mostly wider than 15 mm; tuft domatia abundantly present. Flowers 6-merous. Calyx cupular, shortly toothed, often showing deep splits after opening of flowers. Corolla throat glabrous. Fruits red. Flowers white to cream.
