Characteristics

Perennial, dwarf shrublet, up to 0.15 m high, compact, roots thickened, fleshy. Leaves crowded, glaucous, subcylindrical bladder cells apically and basally elongated, diadems radiating, cup-cells orange, bristles white. Flowers solitary, magenta. Flowering time June-Oct. Capsules 6-locular.
