Leaves glaucous, cylindrical, covered with domed, elongate bladder cells with apical and basal parts ending in points, diadem radiating, cup-cells orange-brown, bristles pale. Flowers solitary, dark pink. Flowering time Nov.-Feb. Capsules 5-locular.
