Characteristics

Flowering axis usually 6-20 cm high, rarely to 40 cm, angular, glabrous or sparsely hairy, simple or few-branched. Leaves lanceolate or linear, 6-10 cm long, 3-7 mm wide, glabrous or sparsely hairy. Umbels 8-12-flowered; outer bracts leaf-like, lanceolate or linear, 12-40 mm long, 2-5 mm wide, hairy; pedicels 7-19 mm long. Sepals lanceolate, acuminate, 6-10 mm long, 1.5-2.5 mm wide, 3-nerved. Petals elliptic-lanceolate, obtuse, 6-9.5 mm long, 2-3 mm wide, 3-nerved. Filaments 4-6 mm long; anthers ovoid, less than 1 mm long. Mericarps ellipsoidal or obovoid, 3-6 mm long, 1.5-3 mm diam.; umbo present; pericarp smooth.
