Decumbent annual herb, branched from the base, glabrous or thinly hairy. Leaflets small, cuneate-obovate, truncate to retuse at the apex, denticulate almost to the base, glabrous above, sparsely pubescent beneath; stipules lanceolate-acuminate, the lower ones dentate. Flowers small, yellow, 2-7-fasciculate, subumbellate, sessile or subsessile. Calyx campanulate, sparsely pubescent; teeth equalling or exceeding the tube. Pod 4-10 mm long, linear, wavy, shortly acuminate, with a very slender persistent style, 2-5-seeded. Easily recognized by its small eel-like fruits.
