Erect or slightly prostrate. Stems up to 25 cm high, with few branches, more or lesss hispid pubescent. Leaves oblong, elliptical, oblong-obovate or subspathulate, tapering into a distinct, slender, 0.4-2.5 cm long petiole, blade 0.8-3 by 0.6-1.3 cm, apex acute or rounded to retuse, distinctly apiculate, lateral veins indistinct, antrorse white strigose on upper as well as midrib and margins on lower side, with few scattered hairs on lower surface. Cymes lateral, solitary, ebracteate, with distinct peduncle, rhachis an-trorsely strigose; pedicels antrorse strigose, less than 1 mm long in flower, elongated to 3 mm, in the lowermost flowers to 5-6 mm in fruit. Calyx 1.5-2 mm long in flower, up to 3 mm long in fruit, strigose, lobes narrowly ovate, acute, c. 2 mm long at last. Corolla white, 4 mm long, tube nearly 2 mm long, lobes obovate to suborbicular, broadly rounded, c. 2 mm wide; fornices fairly broad. Stamens: filaments very short, anthers oblong, c. 0.8 mm long. Pistil: style c. 1 mm long. Nutlets tetrahedral with 4 sharp angles, c. 1 mm long, black, shiny, glabrous.
