Leaves shortly ovate to orbicular-acuminate, 1.4–4.5 cm long, 1.2–4 cm wide, tip acuminate to rounded, base slightly cordate to obtuse, margin coarsely singly to doubly crenate or dentate, upper side green, softly felty, underside grey, softly felty; petiole 5–30 mm long, ± 0.75 mm diameter, terete, brown, softly hairy; stipules persistent, lanceolate, 7.5(–12) mm long, 1(–2) mm wide, brown and softly hairy..
