Characteristics

Cormous herb; corm subglobose, c. 3 cm diam. Leaves rather numerous, to c. 11 together; petiole to c. 20 cm long, sheathing in lower 1/3; blade deeply and narrowly trilobed with (in the only known specimen) the posterior lobes basiscopic, and anterior lobe erect; anterior lobe to c. 15 cm long; posterior lobes c. 1/2 length of anterior. Inflorescence solitary; peduncle subterranean; spathe 6.5 cm long, narrowly lanceolate, very weakly constricted at c. 1 cm from base; spadix c. 5 cm long; female zone c. 5 mm long, then a c. 2 mm zone of ±erect short crowded filiform neuter organs, then a naked interstice c. 1 cm long; male zone c. 0.9 cm long; appendix sessile, tapering to a point, 2.5 cm long, slender. Infructescence unknown.
