GM 37 (Jersey × Pioneer) × CU 5 (Stanley × June); cross made in New Jersey in 1934; seedling raised in Washington, D.C.; selected in New Jersey in 1941 by Clarke and George M. Darrow; tested as US 18-96. Tree: hardy; very productive, more consistent than Ivanhoe in New Jersey; very easily propagated by hardwood cuttings; promising from New Jersey northward. Fruit: cluster small, tight; berry very large; skin medium light blue; flesh firm, aromatic, flavor fine, noncracking; scar medium; ripens rnidseason with Ivanhoe and Rancocas; resembles Dixi.
