Origin: in Tifton, Ga., by Georgia Coastal Plain Expt. Sta. and Crops Res. Div., U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. Introd. in 1969. T-14 × T-15; cross made in 1954 by W.T. Brightwell; selected in 1959 by Brightwell and D.H. Scott; tested as T-94. Tree: upright with numerous canes from the crown. Adapted to the Gulf Coast and southeastern U.S. Fruit: large; round; skin light blue; flavor excellent, are not tart before fully ripe as are most varieties of rabbiteye blueberries; ripens a few days later than Briteblue.
