Fruticosa ramosa, 2-3 m. alta; rami modice validi, cortice brunneolo-cinerascente verruculoso rimosoque obtecti; floriferi breves; ramuli novelli herbacei, summo pubescentes. Stipulae late triangulares et abrupte acuminatae, basi paulo vaginato-connatae, extra glabrae, intus longe albido villosae. Folia parva, ovato-rotundata, brevissime petiolata; laminae herbaceae, virides, novellae plus minusve pubescentes sed adultae omnino glabrae, basi rotundatae, sursum sensim obtuse et breviter attenuatae, vulgo 2 cm. longae et 1.5 cm. latae, nervis lateralibus I utrinsecus 3-4-arcuatis adscendentibus. Flores axillares, 2-3-nati, pedicellis brevibus 1-1.5 mm. longis suffulti, pedunculo communi crasso brevissimo vix distincto apice bibracteolato; calycis limbus 5-lobatus, lobi foliacei, oblanceolato-spatulati, apice rotundati, corollam longe superantes, praeter basin plerumque pubescentem glabri, usque ad 6 mm. longi; corollae tubus brevissimus tantummodo 1 mm. attingens, extra glaber, intus annulo pilorum reflexorum instructus, lobi triangulares, acuti, 2.5 mm. longi, glabri; antherae fere exsertae, lanceolatae, 1.25 mm. longae, glabrae, filamentis brevissimis; stigma cylindricum, apice leviter 5-lobatum, non sulcatum sed glandulare, 0.75 mm. longum; stylus laevis, gracilis, 1-1.5 mm. exsertus; discus depressus, glaber; ovarium campanulatum, quinqueloculare, apice plus minusve pubescens, 1 mm. longus. Fructus piriformis, apice calycis limbo coronatus, glaber, 1.2 cm. longus, 5-pyrenus.
