Characteristics

Annual herb, ±pubescent; stock short; scapes ascending, to 25 cm long. Leaves oblong to oblanceolate, dentate to lyrate; lamina 2-6 cm long, 3-10 mm wide. Bracteoles free, to 15 mm long. Sepals free or nearly so; adaxial one oblong to narrowly elliptic, c. 4 mm long. Corolla 5-6 mm long, pubescent to almost glabrous outside, ±glabrous inside, without enations, pink or lilac to white; wings ±to base of adaxial lobes, to 1 mm wide. Ovary with septum very short; ovules c. 4; indusium semi-orbicular, c. 1 mm wide, with few hairs. Capsule inflated-globular. Seeds orbicular, 3-4 mm diam, wrinkled; wing c. 1 mm wide.
