Characteristics

Perennial herb, glabrous; stock short; scapes erect or ascending, to 40 cm long. Leaves oblanceolate, dentate or lobed; lamina 8-15 cm long, 8-20 mm wide. Bracteoles free, to 10 mm long. Adaxial sepal elliptic, not cordate, 7-8 mm long. Corolla 8-12 mm long, pubescent outside, almost glabrous inside, with enations, yellow; wings ±to base of adaxial lobes, c. 1 mm wide. Ovary with septum almost obsolete; ovules 6-8; indusium depressed-ovate, c. 1 mm wide. Capsule subglobular. Seeds orbicular, 2 mm diam., punctate.
