Leaves unifoliolate; petiole 2–3.7 cm. long, slender, grooved above, articulated at the junction with the blade, glabrate; leaflet broadly elliptic and occasionally slightly oblique, 14–29 cm. long, 6–8.5 cm. broad, rather abruptly acuminate at the apex, narrowly cuneate at the base, entire, coriaceous, glabrous, dark green, very finely gland-dotted beneath.. Racemes axillary, somewhat erect; flowers pedicellate.. Male flowers: calyx small, cupular, 4-lobed; petals 4, much longer than the calyx; stamens 7, 3 long and 4 short; rudimentary ovary pubescent.. Female flowers not seen.. Fruit ovoid or somewhat ellipsoid, 11–13 mm. long, 6–7 mm. in diameter, puberulent.
