Shrub or tree with greyish bark; young branches, petioles and inflorescences rusty tomentose.. Leaves alternate, trifoliolate; petiole 4–15 cm. long, subterete and narrowly grooved above, tomentose; leaflets sessile, elliptic to elliptic-obovate, (6–) 10–24 cm. long, 4–11 cm. broad, acute to sometimes retuse at the apex, auriculate at the base, entire, glabrous to pubescent especially along the midrib beneath; pellucid gland dots numerous and conspicuous beneath.. Inflorescence a congested terminal panicle 6–11 cm. long; branches pubescent; pedicels 1–5 mm. long.. Sepals 4, ovate-triangular, 1–2 mm. long, pubescent.. Petals 4, elliptic-oblong, 2–4 mm. long, 1.5–2.5 mm. broad, glandular.. Male flower: stamens 6–8 (usually 8), 2.5–4.2 mm. long; rudimentary ovary pubescent.. Female flowers not seen.. Fruit 10–15 mm. long, 8–15 mm. in diameter, 4-lobed or 3–2-lobed by abortion, 4-locular.. Seeds 8–10 mm. long, one in each locule.
