Characteristics

Plant 10-20 cm tall. Leaves 3, lower 2 basal and upper distant or all well separated; lowest leaf linear or somewhat tapering, 2-7 mm wide, not dilated basally; middle leaf basal and similar or slightly to markedly higher and dilated basally with long, linear or tapering upper portion; upper leaf dilated basally, gradually tapering to apex or with short apical point. Inflorescence dense or open; flowers 2-10, bisexual. Perianth 8-12 mm long; tepals 6, connate for a tenth to a fifth of length, pink; nectaries 2 per tepal just above filament insertion, very inconspicuous, small marginal or submarginal swellings, pink or whitish. Stamens 2/3-3/4 as long as perianth; anthers c. 2 mm long, pink, purple or yellow. Styles connate for 1/4-2/3 of length.
