Characteristics

Plant 1.5-5 cm tall, dioecious or rarely andromonoecious. Leaves 3, lower 2 basal or slightly separated, upper slightly to much higher; lowest leaf lanceolate or narrowly so, 4-18 mm wide; 2nd leaf similar; upper leaf dilated, with short pointed apex. Male inflorescence open; female contracted, dense; flowers 2-7. Perianth 5-7 mm long; tepals 6, connate for c. 1/3 of length, white, ageing pink; nectary 1 per tepal 1/3 from base, a transverse band, curving distally at midddle, not or scarcely raised, white or pale to dark pink. Stamens 1/2-2/3 as long as perianth; anthers c. 0.5 mm long, purple. Styles free.
