Characteristics

Plant 1.5-11 cm tall. Leaves 3, usually well separated; lowest leaf filiform, 0.4-2.6 mm wide; second leaf dilated basally, otherwise filiform; upper leaf dilated basally, with short to long narrow apex. Inflorescence open; flowers 1-3, bisexual or occasionally uppermost or only flower male. Perianth 6.5-10.5 mm long; tepals 6, connate for less than a tenth of length, white or pale pinkish lilac; nectary 1 per tepal 1/3-2/3 from base, an inconspicuous or somewhat raised transverse band, occasionally with a break at midline of tepal, the proximal margin distinct, distal margin indistinct, white, cream or faint to dark pink. Stamens c. 1/2 as long as perianth; anthers c. 1 mm long, red. Styles free.
