Leaf-sheaths (incompletely known) over 25 mm. long, blackish brown, quickly disintegrating after abscission; blades linear, filiform-attenuate, to 65 cm. long and 12 mm. wide, the margins inconspicuous, yellowish, entire, the trichomes simple, subterete; anatomy of the Barbacenia type.. Peduncles 1–4 at the apex of each branch, 6–13 cm. long, covered with flat forked or stellate trichomes toward apex.. Perianth white to pale lavender, sweet scented; outer and inner tepals nearly identical, narrowly lanceolate, acuminate, 35–60 mm. long.. Filaments subquadrate, almost wholly adnate to the tepals; anthers linear, ± half as long as the tepals..
