Characteristics

Perennial herb, 150-300 mm high. Stem solitary or 1-or 2-branched from base, erect. Leaves with blade elongated, narrowly ovate-deltoid, broadly ovate, oblong or suborbiculate, 24-43 x 20-36 mm, subsessile, glabrous; crisped on margins. Flowers: 7-12-flowered, sessile or subsessile, up to 13 lateral umbels; corona lobes ± as long as broad, fleshy; corolla globose-campanulate, glabrous on inner face, lobes erect, ascending or spreading, 3.5-5.5 x 1-3 mm, brown-red, pale brown or cream-coloured; Nov., Dec. Fruit a follicle.
