Leaves spreading; blade linear to broadly elliptic, 15-50(-60) x 2-8(-15) mm, glabrescent. Flowers: in a dense, often few-flowered spike, lengthening in fruit; corolla 27-50 mm long, limb regular, held ± horizontal, lobes deeply notched, inner surface glabrous or with a few minute hairs near base, white, outer surface crimson; (Oct.-)Dec.-Apr., opening at dusk or in dull light.
