Perennial herb with wiry roots.. Stems decumbent, up to 6 dm. long.. Leaves 2-foliolate; leaflets obliquely ovate at the base, grading to lanceolate and linear-lanceolate towards the apex of the stem, rather obtuse or the narrower ones subacute, mostly very shortly apiculate, glabrous, obscurely glandular-punctate beneath.. Stipules narrowly lanceolate, up to 12 mm. long.. Bracts ovate, acute, longer than the internodes, not obviously glandular, glabrous.. Flowers nearly as long as the bracts.. Calyx ± 3 mm. long.. Petals creamy, with red veins on lower part of standard, and both wings and keel yellow apically; standard up to 8 mm. long.. Legume up to 12 mm. long and 5-seeded; segments 2 × 2.5 mm., without bristles, glabrous.
