Female flowers (DIELS, l.c.) with sepals ± as in male; petals 0; staminodes present (? number); carpels 3, stigma broad. Infructescence with club-shaped unbranched carpophores. Drupes transversely subovoid or subglobose with style-scar lateral, large; endocarp not sculptured but bearing a layer (continuous or broken) of radially arranged fibres; condyle inconspicuous or absent; seed broadly ellipsoidal; endosperm deeply ruminate; cotyledons apparently divergent and much folded (according to BECCARI and MAINGAY).
