Characteristics

Rhizome short-creeping. Stipe without tubercles. Fronds dimorphic. Lamina 12.5-39 cm long, 0.7-11 cm wide; apical lobe c. (one-third-) one-sixth to one-ninth of lamina length, deeply pinnatifid almost throughout. Pinnae simple; basal pair of pinna sometimes free, 2 or 3 more distal pairs adnate or decurrent; others decurrent to wing along rachis; longest fertile pinnae 4-87 mm long, 1.5-3 mm wide; rachis and pinna midvein without tubercles. Sori 0.7-10 mm or more long, c. 0.5 mm wide, rarely discrete, usually confluent laterally and across pinna midvein, in 1 row on each side of pinna midvein, nearer to midvein than margin.
