Characteristics

Rhizome short-to long-creeping. Stipe with tubercles. Fronds sometimes slightly dimorphic. Lamina pinnate, 8.5-50 cm long, 1-12 cm wide; apical lobe (one-quarter-) one-eighth to less than one-tenth of lamina length. Pinnae simple; lowest 1-3 pairs of pinnae stalked, gradually becoming sessile towards middle of lamina; upper pinnae sessile to decurrent; longest pinnae 7-75 mm long, 3-10 mm wide; rachis and pinna midvein without tubercles. Sori 0.7-2 (-3) mm long, 0.5-1 (-2) mm wide, usually discrete, sometimes contiguous, rarely confluent laterally when mature, 1 or 2 rows on each side of pinna midvein; inner nearer midvein; outer nearer margin.
